… may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.
It is fascinating to even think of and ponder on the fact that God loves mankind. That God, in His infinite power did not just create us but loves us so much that He actually went to extremes to prove it. The Love of God for mankind is one thing many people have not really opened up their hearts to accept and receive. To some people, it sounds too good to be true. Therefore, they are loath to believe that God, who is all knowing, all powerful and ever-present would fall in love with the very creatures of His making. The thought of it is a wonder many have opened their hearts to and in the process have fallen deeply in love with this God who for the sake of love would stoop so low as to step down from His Majesty to meet with a needy human race. The Love of God is totally opposite to all that humans, in the limitations of their abilities are willing to accept.
God is Love and that is about the simplest way to understand Him. Love is not a feeling God has towards you and I. It is who He is to you and I. God loves you beyond your wildest imaginations. He loves you so much that He could not bear having you away from Him. For Love’s sake, God subjected Himself to the frail and painful experiences of mankind. He decided to share in the Human experience so that we could share in the Divine experience.
God’s Love is without conditions
Romans 5:8
But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
While you and I were stilled messed up and wrapped up in everything contrary to His person and presence, Love came to us. He came without condemnation or accusation. He came with salvation. While we were yet in our most unloving state, Love took us to Himself, embraced us, promising to never let go for any reason. Just meditating on this one fact alone can cause your heart to melt away, leaving you in a state of perpetual ecstasy. There could never be anything more heartbreaking and deeply fulfilling at the same time. Nothing more awesome than to know that one is loved without condition. With no strings attached. Our condition was deserving of rejection. We deserved to be despised and thrown away for good. But somehow, Love sees pure gold in the deepest mire.
This is love for No reason
Why does He love me? Is the question that goes through the human mind again and again. It echoes in the deepest parts of our souls and we want an answer that will satisfy but there is none because Love needs no reason. He is the reason. The search for a reason why we are loved is proof that sometimes we are obsessed with deserving things. So obsessed that we find it very hard accepting that we can be so loved without doing anything for it. This desire to find a reason has gotten even those who have accepted the love of God into the trap of working hard to present a reason for what was given for No reason. Believers have to believe that God loves for No reason and once love is received, they have to be careful not to try giving God a reason why He should continue loving them. God loves because Love is who He is. We love God because He first loved us. He loves us because He is Love.

We love Him because He first loved us
It is love for no reason, and for that, it simply seems unbelievable. We are familiar with being attracted to people because they possess one quality or the other. We know too much about LOVE FOR A REASON and because of this, the idea of LOVE WITHOUT A REASON simply seems too lofty. It sounds like a treasure so beautiful that everyone will love to reach out for but at the same time, it seems to be just a consoling fantasy to those who are yet to have a relationship with God.
Here is Love with no limits
Jeremiah 31:3
The Lord appeared to us in the past, saying: “I have loved you with an everlasting love; I have drawn you with my loving kindness.
God is infinite love and with Him, there are no limits. He’s love everlasting, God’s love is deep enough to hold those who are at their lowest state ever. It is wide enough to accept and involve ALL who will dare accept the invitation to come. This love is high enough to entertain our wildest expectations and imaginations. In loving man, God left no stone unturned. In loving God, man can simply never get every stone turned over. There is always something new to discover, something more to reach out for. Just when you think “I have experienced a deeper dimension”, He invites you to yet another dimension. It may take all eternity to know the love of God, and eternity is simply limitless.
HE loves without a season
1Cor 13:8
Love never fails …
God’s love never runs out or goes out of season. He will never stop loving for any reason or in any season. Some people have the idea that when they do something wrong, God gets angry and will not like to talk to them for a while until He gets over the issue. Such ideas are picked up from our interactions with men. For example, when friends have problems with each other and do not forgive immediately, they tend to neglect each other. This kind of attitude is so common that people think God treats them the same way.
There is no moment when God turns his back on those who have been born of His Word and have become His very own children of love. Whenever you crave to be loved, you can simply embrace the love of God and bask in it. Even if you did something wrong, you must remember that Love always forgives and with God’s love, there is never a holiday.
Whatever the season you find yourself in, whether in times of pain or days of joy, in confusion or desperation, if you lose or gain, you must understand that God’s love never goes seasonally. He does not change when our feelings or situations change. You can be sure, no matter the season you find yourself in, that God is always there, always willing to love without break or end. We would love to invite you to receive the Love of God right away, having understood what it means to be loved by God.
Lord God, I come to you in the name of Jesus Christ your son. You are love and through your word, I understand your love is expressed in the life, death, burial and resurrection of your son Jesus Christ. Your word declares, whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. I call on you to forgive my sins and I believe that Jesus Christ is your son and that He died for my salvation. I confess Jesus is my Lord and Saviour and I receive eternal life now into my spirit. Thank you Lord for saving me.
